The winter chill is back, at least for the next two days as temperatures will fall below zero at night and wind chill values will make it feel as cold as minus 20 degrees, the National Weather Service said.
The weather varies statewide today from clear skies and subzero degrees to light snow and temperatures in the 20s. Temperatures in Des Moines this weekend will be around 15 degrees, with continual 5-15 mph winds and a 20 percent chance of snow, according to the National Weather Service.
